Elizabeth Olsen just gave a statement which can take the excitement to a whole new level for the fans waiting for the upcoming ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’.
Earlier yesterday, Olsen aka Scarlet Witch of MCU reportedly said, “It’s a bonkers movie, they’re definitely going for that horror show vibe,” which clearly indicates that the second installment featuring Sorcerer Supreme will be leaning to its horror phase.
Olsen also added, “I didn’t know my part in Doctor Strange until right before we got back to filming during the pandemic. We had two months left, and we’d filmed the majority of our show already. Really, I knew nothing until that moment when they pitched Doctor Strange 2 to me verbally”.
Elizabeth Olsen just featured in the Disney+ series WandaVision recently where Olsen’s character Wanda Maximoff fully embraces her chaotic dark side to become the Scarlet Witch. Now it is being anticipated that her character will be massive in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’. But makers are yet to confirm whether she will return as a protagonist or an antagonist in the film.
The second installment of Doctor Strange will pick up where the character left off after the events of Avengers: Endgame and WandaVision. Doctor Stephen Strange, portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch will be unleashing extreme evil while a friend-turns-into-enemy obstructs his research on the Time Stone.
Apart from Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Rachel McAdams will reprise their roles of Wong, Karl Mordo and Christine Palmer, respectively. ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ will be directed by Sam Raimi who will be associating himself with Marvel Studios after almost 15 years since Spider-Man 3 in 2007.
‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ is scheduled to be released on March 25, 2022, and with the comments of Elizabeth Olsen, the fan will definitely go ‘bonkers’ to quote Olsen and will be waiting eagerly for Doctor Strange to unleash the horror!
