‘Doctor Who‘ will return for its 27th season and will complete its 60th anniversary soon. A teaser trailer of the show was shared with the fans this christmas.
Doctor Who is a 26 season science fiction show that tells the story of a ‘Time-Lord’, who is a scientist from some planet who can travel through space and time. The scientist, also known as Doctor Who travels through time and space in his spaceship TARDIS. He makes many trips to earth to save it from immediate and future dangers and also to take people from earth who are able to help him in his intergalactic missions.
The show has several spin-offs that are famous as well. ‘Torchwood’, ‘Doctor Who Confidential’, ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’, ‘Totally Doctor Who’ these are the shows that you can watch if you are a fan of the series and they will surely make you feel nostalgic.
David Tennant will be reprising his role as the lead. His performances from the previous seasons were much appreciated. He will be playing the Doctor in three episodes which will premiere in November 2023. After that Ncuti Gatwa will be taking over the role of the Doctor. Ncuti Gatwa will be the fifteenth Doctor Who. Fans are excited with the return of David Tennant and it seems like the 60th anniversary is going to be something special for the show.
Famous actor Neil Pattrick Harris will be a part of the new season of Doctor Who. He has a good fan base from shows like ‘How I Met Your Mom’. He will be playing the villain of the show. Ruth Madeley will be joining as a new character Shirley Ann Bingham. Jacqueline King will return in the role of Sylvia Noble and Karl Collins will play the role of Donna Temple’s husband.
David Tennant previously played the tenth Doctor Who and now he will be playing the fourteenth Doctor after Jodie Whittaker made her exit as the thirteenth incarnation of the character.
The makers of the show have confirmed that there will be pretty more surprises in the show than David Tennant’s return. The return of the famous character Donna Noble hints of a new surprising turn of events.
