Docu-Series ‘Meerkat Manor’ To Be Adapted As An Animated Movie Soon!

The popular Animal Planet documentary ‘Meerkat Manor’ is going to be adapted for the big screens. Meerkat Manor is a series that premiered in 2005 and went on to be the channel’s one of the biggest successes. There are four seasons of the show and it is also the highest rated Animal Planet docu series. The movie will be made by Warner Bros. Pictures Animation.

Meerkat Manor told the story of a family of meerkats titled Whiskers, and how they try to survive in the deserts of Kalahari. The feature film will definitely add up sone spices and dramatic elements to its core, but the original series was no less engertaining.

If we see the example of Happy Feet we will get to know that this genre has a huge fanbase as well. Happy Feet told the story of a group of Penguins in Antarctica and it went on to be one of the biggest blockbusters that year. The makers will use photo real animation and it seems that it will be the next big thing in animation. The movie will be jointly with Seth Green and Tracy Falco under the banner of The Green Room.

With the huge popularity of ‘Meerkat Manor’ along with the expertise of Warner Bros. Animation, we can expect a huge project. Producers have said that meerkat have always been a secondary character in animated movies and now it is time to have them as the stars.
