‘Alien’ fans must be aware that a new Alien movie, which is being directed by Fede Alvarez and backed by the parent film’s helmer Ridley Scott, is currently in the works. The movie is set to be released on streaming service Hulu and will feature Cailee Spaeny (of ‘Pacific Rim Uprising’ fame).
And as per the latest update, the new ‘Alien’ movie has cast actress-singer Isabela Merced in an unknown role. Isabel Merced has previously lent her acting skills for ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’, Netflix’s action thriller flick ‘Sweet Girl’ co-starring Jason Momoa, and the 2022 rom-com ‘Rosaline’, amongst others. She will next be seen in the HBO Max romantic movie ‘Turtles All The Way Down’, and the Marvel superhero movie ‘Madame Web’ co-starring Dakota Johnson.
The precise plot details for the new Alien movie are currently being kept under the wraps. What is known so far is that the film will focus on the deadly alien race called Xenomorphs and their violent face-off with the human race.
The new standalone Alien movie will be directed by the talented Uruguayan filmmaker Fede Alvarez, who is also a diehard fan of the franchise. Fede Alvarez had made his feature film directorial debut with the 2013 ‘Evil Dead’ reboot followed by the critically acclaimed claustrophobic horror flick ‘Don’t Breathe’ starring Stephen Lang.
Alien films have invariably remained a subject of keen interest for cinephiles ever since the first Alien film helmed by Ridley Scott came out in the year 1979 and eventually achieved a cult following over the years. The more action-packed sequel ‘Aliens’ by James Cameron is also regarded as one of the greatest films of the 1980s. Stay tuned to Binged for the latest updates on Fede Alvarez’s new Alien movie.
