It’s the weekend and, like always, we are back again with yet another handpicked recommendation for your weekend binge watch fest. We are talking about the gripping political legal thriller titled ‘Nothing but the Truth’, which is streaming on the Amazon Prime Video OTT platform.

‘Nothing but the Truth’ features Kate Beckinsale in the role of an ambitious Washington DC reporter / political columnist Rachel Armstrong. Rachel writes a sensational story about a high-profile government scandal. But because she reveals a covert CIA operative’s (Vera Farmiga) name in her report, the special prosecutor (Matt Dillon) tries to force Rachel to reveal her source, which she refuses. As a result, Rachel is sent to prison for contempt of court. Now, Rachel’s attorney must find a way to get her released.

Helmed by Rod Lurie (Director – ‘Straw Dogs’, ‘The Outpost’), ‘Nothing but the Truth’ was interestingly never released in theatres after its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival back in the year 2008. Still, the film received encouraging reviews.
