Doobe song from Deepika Padukone‘s upcoming film Gehraiyaan has been released. Just a few days back in the trailer, we could listen to this song in the background but the full song was released today.
This is the first song from the movie and there can be a few more to come.
Regardless, this song has been sung and composed by two completely new artists who are fresher in the Bollywood industry.
The lyrics however have been written by Kausar Munir who has a long experience. She has written songs for some extremely famous films like Ek Tha Tiger or Dhoom 3.
The vocals have been given by Lothika while the composition has been helmed by OAFF and Savera.
Lothika and OAFF have collaborated before for a single called Frontline. But this is their first Bollywood project.
It will be interesting to see whether this new song is successful in attracting the audience but the initial impressions do not give such a hint.
Although the song is meant for dancing, the lyrics do not accompany the grooves. It is as if they do not have any relation at all.
The lyrics are highly repetitive and fail to impart any clear message.
Regardless, this has become a common thing for most Hindi songs.
