How do we determine the success of a film or series on OTT? It is not just through the views but also the talks. Take the case of Three of Us. It is not a blockbuster success like Maharaja but the movie got more than decent views and the talks surrounding it were nothing less than excellent.
Now consider the case of Double iSmart. The Telugu movie was a disaster on the big screens. There is a usual OTT window of 28 days in Tollywood but given the disaster Double iSmart is, it came to Prime Video within just 21 days as people simply abandoned it on the big screens. It might have gotten better views had there been no such disastrous flood in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana region, but that again is merely a speculation.
The solid news is, Double iSmart is a pathetic disaster. There are strong reactions against the makers and rightly so. They should know that the film sucks and perhaps improve the way they are making films.
Double iSmart stars Ram Pothineni and Sanjay Dutt alongside Ali, Kavya Thapar, Sayaji Shinde and Bani J.
The film even failed to earn 25 crores at the box office and people are even more repulsive towards it on OTT. Let’s check what they are saying.
Just watched #DoubleIsmart on #AmazonPrime Its a “Double Torture”. I wished movie ended at interval . Horrible scenes , screenplay , dialogues, side track etc. Everyone failed to deliver expect for @ramsayz . Such a waste of a talent . He needs to focus on his script selections.
