Dragon Ball Super: A New Goku Film Is Surely On The CardsGoku is surely coming back with new action & adventure. In honor of Goku day on 9th May, which was declared officially in 2015 by Japan Anniversary Association, Toei Animation and the creator himself, Akira Toriyama revealed that a new Dragon Ball Super film will be released in 2022.

The extremely beloved anime fans across the world, especially the fans from America, would go crazy over this news because the previous film of the franchise, Dragon Ball Super: Broly has earned over $120 million in 2018 and went on to become one of the highest-grossing anime films of all time.

Earlier yesterday Toei Animation has took to their twitter account to share the announcement new of the new Dragon Ball Super with the official statement of Akira Toriyama which says, “I shouldn’t talk too much about the plot yet, but be prepared for some extreme and entertaining bouts, which may feature an unexpected character.

We’ll be charting through some unexplored territory in terms of the visual aesthetics to give the audience an amazing ride, so I hope everybody will look forward to the new movie”.

Those who are unfamiliar with Dragon Ball, it is a Japanese media franchise based on Manga characters created by Akira Toriyama in 1984. It revolves around adventures of Goku along with a teen girl named Bulma, who encourages him to join her quest in exploring the world in search of the seven orbs known as the Dragon Balls, which summon a wish-granting dragon when gathered.

Since its release, Dragon Ball has become one of the most successful Manga anime series of all time all over the world, with Goku becoming one of the most talked-about Manga characters ever. Dragon Ball has had a considerable impact on global popular culture, inspiring numerous artists, filmmakers, and writers across the world.

Now, for the new Dragon Ball movie, we are yet to decode the new storyline and other details, but one thing is evident that we’ll have to wait till 2022 for the movie’s release. Of course, another obvious question about the movie is whether or not it will release worldwide in 2022, or if that release date only applies to the Japanese market. We guess we just need to wait for the makers to reveal the same.
