Normally, when a new film releases on Netflix, they manage to reach the Number 1 position of most-watched films/series in their respective week. But this does not look like the case with Dulquer Salmaan‘s Hey Sinamika. It is a well-known fact that Dulquer enjoys a decent following and Hey Sinamika had all the potential to enjoy the number one position.
But guess what, the film may actually have defeated ‘83 but it’s just not visible to us.
If you closely notice then Hey Sinamika appears in the list not once but thrice. The film grabbed the number two position in the original Tamil version, number four in Hindi and number 7 in Hindi.
The film is streaming in 5 languages including Kannada and Malayalam. Needless to say, a lot of people who are not Tamil speakers may have watched the film in original audio but the same isn’t true for vice versa.
Although we don’t really have any idea about the watch hours, we may safely assume that Hey Sinamika was indeed the most-watched film last week on Netflix. It is just that the linguistic diversity divided the views and ‘83 appeared on the top.
