Yesterday, Dulquer Salmaan sent out an announcement tweet about his upcoming film, ‘Hey Sinamika’. It featured a new look poster and also provided the reveal/release date of the film’s song, ‘Achamillai’. Over an hour back, Dulquer sent out another tweet, this time giving us a sneak peek into this song. And guess what – Dulquer himself will be singing; making it the first time he will be lending his vocals for a Tamil song. Check out the tweet featuring the 30-second promo, below:
Many fans were disappointed when the release of ‘Salute’ was postponed, so this song release should help ease the minds of some hardcore DQ (AKA Dulquer) fans. The actor has sung many songs in the past, particularly in his movies – with quite a few of them becoming hits. And it looks like this song could also become one – even if the film flops.
‘Achamillai’ will release on multiple social media platforms tomorrow, on 14th January 2022, so the wait is not long. ‘Hey Sinamika’ is a film that has been going through problems due to the coronavirus pandemic from 2020 itself. The film production had to be stopped for over seven months before shooting could resume in 2020. And even though the film completed shooting in December 2020, the film producers had to wait a long time to get a theatrical release date. So 24-hour wait for a song is quite mild.
‘Hey Sinamika‘ is expected to release in theatres next month on February 25th 2022. However, with the rise in the number of Covid-19 cases, we will have to wait and see if the film will keep its current premiere date.
