Around 45 mins ago, Malayalam superstar, Dulquer Salmaan, dropped a new look poster for his upcoming Tamil film, ‘Hey Sinamika‘ on his official Twitter handle. Along with this poster, he also mentions that the film will be dropping its first song, ‘Achamillai’, on social media in two days, on 12th January 2022. Check out the aforementioned tweet down below:
‘Hey Sinamika’ was a film that started production quite a while back – back in March 2020. As expected, the nationwide lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic slowed down the production process. The shooting process which got halted then restarted in November 2020. The shooting, which took place in Chennai, eventually got completed in December 2020. The film has been on ice since then. While we do not know what the number of Covid-19 and Omicron cases will be by next month, we are a little hopeful that the film will be able to make its release date.
Many Dulquer Salmaan fans were disappointed that the release of the actor’s upcoming film, ‘Salute’, had to be postponed. The rise in Omicron and Covid-19 cases around the country have also caused many highly anticipated films like ‘RRR’ and ‘Jersey’ to push their premiers as well. Still, it is good to see that more Dulquer Salmaan films are getting ready to release in theatres.
‘Hey Sinamika’ is expected to release in theatres next month on February 25th 2022. With the number of Covid-19 cases on the rise, we will have to wait and see if the film will keep its set premiere date.
