Are you bored with the same old Marvel series that keeps on invading every once in a while? Well, things are very different this time but on paper.
Marvel’s upcoming series, “Echo,” is breaking new ground in several ways. The show, set to premiere on January 10, 2023, represents a significant departure from traditional Marvel productions. It will be the first Marvel Studios series to simultaneously debut on Disney+ and Hulu, offering viewers more accessibility. Furthermore, it will be the first Marvel series to carry a TV-MA rating, indicating a more mature and potentially darker storyline.
“Echo” echoes with diversity and representation. The series revolves around Maya Lopez, a deaf and Native American character portrayed by Alaqua Cox. This marks a groundbreaking moment in the superhero genre, as it’s the first time a series centres on such a character. “Echo” not only delves into Maya’s story but also explores her matrilineal ancestors, weaving an intricate narrative.
The series also boasts a remarkable cast of Indigenous actors, including Zahn McClarnon, Graham Greene, Tantoo Cardinal, K. Devery Jacobs, Chaske Spencer, and Cody Lightning. The inclusion of these actors and the direction by Catriona McKenzie.
The trailer is now out and it is very very bloody. It is almost at the same page as Daredevil and Punisher It is looking even more violent than Moon Knight and finally, Disney is breaking those stereotypes. Hopes are high and we wish that Echo finally breaks the Marvel curse of TV series.
Let’s wait for January 10 on Disney+Hotstar as the whole series will be released that day.
