The much-awaited Bollywood film, ‘Ek Villain Returns’ release date is here. The film will hit theatres on 29th July, 2022, instead of its previously announced release date of 8th July, 2022.
The makers of ‘Ek Villain Returns’ had initially set its release date as 11nd February, 2022, but it was postponed owing to the pandemic. For the unversed, the film is a spiritual sequel to 2014 hit film, ‘Ek Villain’. It is one of the most awaited action thriller films this year. ‘Ek Villain Returns’ is directed by Mohit Suri, who had also directed the original ‘Ek Villain’. The film is chock-full with high-octane action sequences, along with major twists in the plot.
Ek Villain Returns boasts a stellar cast of John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria. Interestingly, the film also has actor J. D. Chakravarthy in a prominent roll. Hindi film buffs will remember him as the lead actor of Ram Gopal Varma’s blockbuster hit, Satya. The actor has been active in films down south, but is rarely seen these days in Hindi films.
Not much is known about the plot of Ek Villain Returns. Its predecessor Ek Villain had been a hit, and appreciated largely for the performances of its leading men, Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh.
Ek Villain Returns is jointly produced by T-Series and Balaji Telefilm. It arrives in theatres on July 29.
