Mainak Bhaumik is coming back after a year long break after Cheeni. This time he is focusing on his favorite genre and that is – family. Yes, the Maach Mishti & More director is again bringing another saga of family bonding this year titled ‘Ekannoborti’.
Earlier today, SVF Films just revealed the first poster of Ekannoborti which means ‘Adjacent’, and the poster is a piece of art itself. It’s a hand painted image where a few female characters feature in the backdrop of Durga Puja which clearly indicates that the Bengali festival will play an important part in the film.
We have also learnt that just like the last film of Bhaumik, he will again collaborate with Aparajita Adhya. The film will also feature Sauraseni Maitra, Alokananda Roy, Ananya Sen among others. Co-incidentally this will be Bhaumik and Adhya’s third collaboration after Cheeni and Generation Ami. Generation Ami also featured Sauraseni Maitra.
Earlier, Mainak Bhaumik said in an interview that Ekannoborti will be a film that celebrates the joint family at a time when people are scattered all over the place. He also added, “It’s a happy, funny, sad, sweet drama that hopes to remind us Bengalis of our true family spirit of positivity during such depressing times. A quick reminder that Puja is all about the family”.
Shrikant Mohta & Mahendra Soni if SVF film will be producing the film and this will surely be another classic Mainak Bhaumik movie for sure, as the poster already indicates a load of emotions.
