Eleanor Tomlinson Joins Netflix Series Adaptation of ‘One Day’ Novel

Poldark fame Eleanor Tomlinson is on board Netflix’s adaptation of David Nicholls novel ‘One Day’. She will play Sylvie and her character will be in a relationship with the series’ protagonist, Dexter Mayhew.

Tomlinson portrayed Demelza Poldark in the BBC series ‘Poldark’. It is also available on Netflix. Also, she has worked in various movies like ‘Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging’, ‘Jack the Giant Slayer’, ‘Colette’, ‘Love Wedding Repeat’, and many more. Apart from her film roles, she is well-known for her television work in ‘The War of the Worlds’, ‘The Nevers’, ‘Intergalactic’, and ‘The Outlaws’.

The duo of The White Lotus’ Leo Woodhall and This Is Going To Hurt’s Ambika Mod joined the series last month. Viewers will witness their characters in an on-and-off relationship in the show.

One Day tells the story of two people, Dexter and Emma, who will go through numerous personal encounters after their college graduation day. Plus, the pair will find themselves on an emotional roller-coaster ride in addition to dealing with various personal problems.

The show’s shoot commenced in London a week ago. After this, the production crew will visit Scotland to complete the remaining filming schedule. Focus Features and Universal International Studios have served as the producers for the show.
