Elizabeth Olsen Teases Her MCU Return As Scarlet Witch

MCU’s own Scarlet Witch, Elizabeth Olsen, has finally opened up about her highly anticipated return to the prominent superhero franchise. We last watched the actress as Scarlet Witch in Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), alongside Benedict Cumberbatch. Upon realising her errors, Wanda utilises her powers to demolish Mount Wundagore and destroy all copies of Darkhold throughout the Multiverse in the movie, sacrificing herself in the process. However, Marvel has not yet confirmed her death.

While talking with FM 104, Olsen disclosed her intentions about returning as Scarlet Witch in the MCU. This is what she said:

“It’s a character I love going back to when there’s a way to use her well and I think I’ve been lucky when I started I was used well… and they kind of didn’t know what to do with me for a second there! If there’s a good way to use her, I’m always happy to come back.”

Marvel is yet to officially announce Scarlet Witch’s return, but many diehard fans believe that the events of Agatha All Along could lay the foundation for the character’s return, given what happened between them in the Disney+ WandaVision series. Many have speculated that the upcoming Kathryn Hahn starrer could resurrect Scarlet Witch. How will it happen, though, remains a question.

There are also reports about Olsen’s involvement in Paul Bettany’s Vision series, considering their romantic history in the MCU. WandaVision, Agatha All Along, and Vision could be considered a hidden trilogy within the MCU, with each show related to the others. We could even witness Agatha All Along setting up the events of the Vision series. It’s likely that we’ll see Scarlet Witch returning to the world of Marvel before the Multiverse Saga reaches its conclusion. Let’s see how Marvel deals with this scenario. Stay tuned for more updates.
