Based on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the controversial yet highly anticipated Kangana Ranaut’s directorial Emergency is all set to have a theatrical release with confirmed release date.
The film was scheduled to release on 6th September but due to several court cases and censor board problems, the film got delayed repetitively.
Several religious groups protested about the film’s release hence sparking a lot of controversies which left the film hanging for a long time.
Makers were also made to make changes in the film amidst the protests. As of now, the film is finally set for its theatrical release with Kangana Ranaut playing the main lead alongside Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade and Mahima Chaudhary.
As the film covers a sensitive and political issue, it might have a huge impact on the audiences. Fans have been loving social political thrillers in the past and the controversies surrounding Emergency makes it more obvious for the viewers to watch the film.
