Emily The Criminal Star Joins HBO Max’s The Penguin Series

Theo Rossi is the latest addition to HBO Max’s upcoming series, The Penguin, with Colin Farrell as Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot. The show will serve as a spin-off to Matt Reeves’ The Batman (2022).

Apart from Farell, the series has HIMYM fame Cristin Milioti. She will portray the character of Sofia Falcone, the daughter of Carmine Falcone who dies in The Batman. As a result, we will see her fighting Penguin to take the control of Gotham City. Warner Bros has not yet revealed Rossi’s role in the series.

Written and created by Lauren LeFranc, The Penguin is executively produced by Reeves, LeFrance, Farrell, Dylan Clark, Bill Carraro, and Craig Zobel, who will helm the first three episodes.

The series will take place one week after the events of The Batman. It will focus on Cobblepot’s rise in Gotham’s criminal underworld after the death of Carmine Falcone.

Theo Rossi has starred in numerous prominent flicks such as Cloverfield (2008), Bad Hurt (2016), Army of the Dead (2021), Emily the Criminal (2022), and many more. He has also been a part of Grey’s Anatomy, Sons of Anarchy, Marvel’s Luke Cage, Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, and many more.
