Eros International, from India and STX Entertainment from the US, are merging to create a global united platform called Eros STX Global Corporation. It is hailed as a first of its kind agreement that brings together the best of East and West.

Eros International is a well-established brand in Indian cinema. They are a successful production and distribution house. With Eros Now, the production house has also performed well in the digital space. However, the top heads at the company feel time for a significant change, and turning point lay ahead and hence the merger deal with STX Entertainment.

Under Eros STX Global Corporations, plans are underway to produce as many as forty films in the coming period. Apart from them, there is also progress on developing a hundred plus original episodic content part of OTT space.

With STX Entertainment’s vast connections and deep contacts of Eros, the focus is to provide content that would not only thrill the local audience but people globally.

Everything sounds exciting on the paper, and we can’t wait for the company to announce its slate of productions officially. We have to wait and see when that happens, as the entertainment industry is going through a little setback currently due to the coronavirus pandemic.
