Marvel is one brand that has been giving amazing cinematic experiences to fans and viewers. With superpowers, magic, action sequences, Marvel movies are always loaded with great things and visual experiences. The same will be the case with Marvel’s upcoming movie “Eternals”. Marvel’s Eternals is one movie that is being awaited by many since it was officially announced during the Investor’s day program in 2020. Marvel’s been going all out with the visual extravaganza recently and Eternals is no less and finally, the second trailer of Marvel’s Eternals is here as a testament to the fact.
Directed by Chloe Zhao, the academy award-winning director, directing this brilliant masterpiece, Marvel’s Eternals tells the story of an alien species called the “Eternals”. The trailer shows that the movie takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame” and a certain event will force the “Eternals” in hiding to team up once again after centuries. The trailer brings forward all the characters that are supposed to make their entry into MCU through Marvel’s Eternals.
When asked by a human, played by none other than Kit Harrington as to why did the Eternals never come and help the world, when it needed them the most, one of the Eternals, Sersi replies “we were instructed not to interfere with humans unless deviants were involved”. Now to this, the human replies, “by who?”. This is where we suppose fans will see what and who controls the Eternals. Also, this is what seemingly fans have been looking for as an answer to why didn’t they come when Thanos was here. As for the “Deviants”, it is another race of aliens that has been the enemies of “Eternals” since eternity.
Like Guardians of the Galaxy, introduced a whole bunch of new characters, Eternals are set to do the same. 10 superheroes will be introduced with Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Salma Hayek as Ajak Lia McHugh as Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Barry Keoghan as Druig, and Don Lee as Gilgamesh. Kit Harrington comes in as human Dane Whitman, a.k.a the Black Knight. All of these characters are godly in their own way and have superpowers of their own.
As for the story of the movie, it will focus on how after the Endgame scenario, another certain impending doom on humankind will bring the group of superheroes back together. Together once again to protect that they have been told and taught to love: humanity and humans. Eternals is being said as the most ambitious project for Marvel at the moment and with Chloe Zhao and her amazing, extraordinary aesthetic vision, this will be one extremely exciting movie that deserves to be watched.
The producer of the movie and head of Marvel, Kevin Feige has mentioned that this movie will introduce not only superheroes that will be limited to film but will also play an essential role in the upcoming slate of Marvel movies. Also, this movie will serve as the much-needed answer for why Eternals never came in Endgame or Infinity War? Who is leading them? Who are Defendants? and many more such questions. The movie already looks like an absolute delight, but fans will have to wait till the 5th of November, 2021 to witness the magic of Marvel’s Eternals unfold in the theatres.
