Ethan Hawke As Producer For ‘Happiness Falls’, Might Even Star!

Angie Kim’s bestseller novel ‘Happiness Falls’ is having a series adaptation pretty soon. Ethan Hawke has joined it as an executive producer for the show and he is highly likely to play the lead in it.

It will be produced under the banner of Stone Village Television and Hawke’s Under the Influence Productions. Angie Kim’s, the author, has already made a name with novels like Miracle Creek. Happiness Falls was in the New York Times Bestseller list and was Oprah’s no. 1 book as well for a time. The novel tells the story of a family where the father goes missing and leaves the rest in dire crisis. The rest of the family members soon start discovering many unknown secrets about their father. The novel is a page-turner with many turns and twists and if if is made into a show, it has a good chance to win the audience over.

Said Steindorff, the chief of Stone Village, has said, “This book is very much in my wheelhouse. It deals with a non-speaking boy on the spectrum. I found the family dynamic and the father’s exploration of happiness, along with the complexities of interracial relationships and spectrum issues, to be a perfect fit for me to tell this story.”

Release dates and other details are not revealed yet. The actors who will star in the show is not clear as well. Ethan Hawke has a high chance of playing the role of the missing father by the way
