Moon Knight is ready to stream on Disney+ in less than two months. Fans are in love with Oscar Issac after the recent release of the series’ trailer. We also witnessed Ethan Hawke for a brief period in it. But his look has already started to boggle the minds of Marvel nerds. Who is he playing in the upcoming MCU series? Let’s find out!
Ethan Hawke to Play Arthur Harrow in Moon Knight Series
Hawke is playing Arthur Harrow in the forthcoming Moon Knight instalment. But who is he? This character has appeared only once in the Moon Knight comics. Since his debut in 1985, fans never saw him popping up in future comic book editions. The writers almost forgot his character or chose not to give too much importance to him. Whatever might be the case back then, we know for sure that the show treasures a different version of Harrow.
Arthur is a mad scientist, desperate to bag a Nobel Prize for his achievements in the comics. But his connections with Nazi experiments during World War II land him in all sorts of trouble. As a result, he goes insane and feels infinite pain. The superhero’s ability to see visions informs him of Harrow’s inhuman activities. He does whatever he can to stop the scientist for good. Additionally, half of Harrow’s face suffers from trigeminal neuralgia, a type of paralysis. Furthermore, he has short red hair in the comics.
The latest trailer shows Hawke playing a much different version of Arthur Harrow. His character seems like a leader of a dangerous cult. The antagonist has confirmed that he has taken inspiration from a prominent American cult leader, David Koresh, to play Harrow. We can expect the reinvented Harrow to guide Marc Spector in the show. He can also help him in controlling his pain and visions. Not much has been revealed about Hawke’s character yet by the makers. We will inform you as soon as we receive any official word about it.
Moon Knight will premiere on the Disney+ streaming service on March 30. Oscar Issac is all set to don the suit with Ethan Hawke serving as the main villain in the series. Also, we have Gaspard Ulliel and May Calamawy in the cast.
