Sydney Sweeney has announced that Euphoria season three is about to begin production.
After showcasing the critically praised horror film Immaculate at SXSW, the actor was questioned about her upcoming endeavors. Sweeney will return to the Euphoria set in a few weeks, so it doesn’t appear like he will be taking any time off. The Cassie Howard actor teased that she had “maybe” read fresh scripts in a video interview with MTV, saying, “I go into Euphoria.”
Since the final episode of season 2 aired in February 2022, viewers won’t be able to experience any new Euphoria for about three years. After being delayed by the strikes in Hollywood last summer and the passing of producer Kevin Turen and cast member Angus Cloud, who portrayed Fez, production on season three finally started in December.
Showrunner Sam Levinson hinted at a season that will be framed like a noir film, seen through the eyes of Zendaya’s character Rue. The upcoming season will also follow a new format. However, the shooting starts in 2 months! Isn’t that exciting? 2025 doesn’t seem far if one anticipates waiting!
Colman Domingo, who plays Rue’s sponsor Ali, discussed the delays lately and said Levinson is often changing the scripts to reflect current events happening in the globe. Domingo said earlier this month to GQ, “I think Sam is fighting with what’s important. He writes and rewrites and writes and rewrites again.” “He’s reacting right away to the problems in the world. The one thing I am certain of is that he finds the existential question of who we are at this moment to be of great interest. our spirits. He hopes to resolve it in season three.”
