With Friday around the corner, it is time for OTT platforms to drop their latest releases. This week, a Malayalam movie is releasing directly for streaming on a major OTT platform. You may have heard of the movie already (if you watch Malayalam movies) – Lalitham Sundaram. Here is everything you need to know before the Malayalam comedy-drama drops for streaming the day after tomorrow.
What Is The Film About?
Three grown-up siblings return to their family home for a reunion/get-together. They have come to visit their father who has been living alone since his wife passed away a while back. The oldest daughter brings her husband and two kids to the gathering, while the youngest brother brings his girlfriend to introduce her to his family. While everyone is happy to meet each other, there are some underlying tensions that threaten to break out during this family function. Learn more about it in trailer shown below:
Cast & Crew
The movie managed to cast Manju Warrier and Biju Menon as the film leads. They will be playing siblings onscreen, and as far as we can tell, the movie should revolve around them. The rest of the cast includes Saiju Kurup, Deepti Sati, Anu Mohan, Zarina Wahab, Dileesh Pothan, Raghunath Paleri and Thennal Abhilash. The film is written by Pramod Mohan and it is directed by Manju Warrier’s brother, Madhu Warrier.
Where Can I Stream It?
The film will skip theatres and release directly for streaming in a couple of days on Disney+ Hotstar. This will be the OTT platform’s fourth Malayalam direct-to-OTT release.
When Will The Movie Release?
The movie will make its digital debut (and overall debut) on 18th March 2022.
