Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani led Excel Entertainment is one of the leading production banners in the country currently and their projects are always highly anticipated. Today the banner has announced it next venture in association with Trigger Happy Studios, a war drama titled ‘120 Bahadur’.
The announcement was made with still and motion poster for the film whose tagline reads, “Woh teen hazaar the.. aur hum?” And the obvious answer to this is the film’s title ‘120 Bahadur’. In the poster there’s a soldier standing atop a rock facing away towards the snow laden mountains in the background. There are other soldiers standing below him marching towards what appears to be a blast site in the mountains.
As per the announcement, ‘120 Bahadur’ follows the story of “Maj. Shaitan Singh Bhati (PVC) and the soldiers of Charlie company, 13 Kumaon regiment. Famously known as the Battle of Rezang La, fought on the 18th of November 1962 during the Indo-China war, it is a story of remarkable courage, heroism and selflessness shown by our men in uniform against all odds.”
‘120 Bahadur’ is directed by Razneesh ’Razy’ Ghai, with a story and screenplay by Rajiv G Menon. Amit Trivedi will compose music for the film with lyrics by Javed Akhtar. The cast for the film is yet to be unveiled. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar for Excel Entertainment and Amit Chandrra for Trigger Happy Studios, ‘120 Bahadur’ will make its way to the theatres soon.
