Zaidi’s work has been an inspiration to many filmmakers in making movies related to the underworld. The writer is always in demand, and a significant reason for that is his adaptation to the criticism. Initially, he was criticised for writing only about Muslim gangsters. It led Hussian Zaidi to write about Hindu dons from Maharashtra.
As long as one is successful, the critics, and also the well-wishers, will always have something to say. So, the consensus this time was related to writing only about people on the wrong side of the law. This inspired the writer to come up with his latest work, which is currently being made into a Netflix original series: Class of 83.
Speaking about Class of 83 exclusively to Binged.Com, writer Hussain Zaidi said:
“It is about of group of encounter specialists who bring back law in Mumbai city. They are given a license to kill, and it helps them eradicate gangsters”.
Shah Rukh Khan produces Class of 83 on the Red Chillies Entertainment banner. Bobby Deol heads it. Atul Sabharwal directs the series, which will start streaming in the first half of 2020.
