Expected; Indian Matchmaking Got Pathetic Views In Debut Week

Indian Matchmaking Season 2 started streaming on August 11th. The series hosted by Sima Taparia is about a few ultra-rich people who want to get married but are having difficulties finding a suitable partner.

Sima Taparia helps them find a prospect whom they talk to and see if something can be tempting for them to continue their relationship.

But, it was never a series that people wanted. The first season was horrible and the second season was equally cringeworthy if not more.

So it was pretty obvious that the series is not going to make any noise on the platform. Still, Netflix followed its instincts and the result is pretty obvious.

The series failed to enter the top 10 most watched non-English series globally. But hardly anyone cares about that. Because it was pretty obvious that Indian Matchmaking won’t be able to make it.

Even if we see the Indian list then Indian Matchmaking is in the fourth position. Normally, it would be respectable for the show to remain in the top 3 because not only is it an Indian series but it was in its debut week.

It is a complete washout but thankfully, the upcoming few titles on Netflix look promising. Let’s wait to see how they perform.
