Extraction 2 is finally coming. The first part of Extraction came in 2020 starring Chris Hemsworth. The Russo Brothers, who are famous for directing the Avengers Endgame produced the film. While a frequent colleague of the Russo brothers, Sam Hargrave directed the highly-anticipated action film.
The film was based in India and Bangladesh. The scenes of Bangladesh were shot largely in Thailand.
Extraction is based on a black-Extraction 2ops mercenary called Tyler Rake. Pankaj Tripathi plays Ovi Mahajan, an Indian drug lord who is imprisoned. His son, Ovi Mahajan Jr gets kidnapped and Tyler is assigned the work to get him back. Tyler is emotionally struggling after he loses his child and Ovi Jr never really got a father’s affection. Throughout the journey of rescue, Tyler and Ovi Jr develop a father-son bond after which Tyler is ready to even sacrifice his life. This really happens as Tyler falls in a water-body in a highly injured position. After that, everybody suspects Tyler dying there.
But, at the very beginning of Extraction, we saw something that explains the possible survival of Tyler. We saw Tyler jumping off a cliff into a lake. He remains idol inside the water for a considerably longer time and then comes out of it. That might be the possible explanation for his survival. And that’s the reason the second part of the film is going to be filmed.
