Fahadh Faasil’s Malayalam thriller movie ‘Aavesham’ has just hit theatres this morning. The Eid release has got Malayalam film fans in a happy tizzy of anticipation. For one, Aavesham is written and directed by Jeethu Madhavan, creator of last year’s surprise hit ‘Romancham’. Aavesham is even set in the same universe as Romancham, and is a spinoff of sorts of that movie. Secondly, the film stars Fahadh Faasil in a delightfully boisterous role.
Now, even before the first reviews of Aavesham are in, we at Binged have got you confirmed information on the Aavesham OTT platform. Streaming behemoth Prime Video has grabbed the post-theatrical streaming rights for Aavesham. The Malayalam thriller drama Aavesham OTT release will hence be only on Prime Video and on no other platform.
Aavesham stars Fahadh Faasil in the role of a local gangster, Ranga, with a penchant for machismo. Ranga is hired by a bunch of college students to take care of a “problem” for them. Just like Romancham, Aavesham is heavily inspired by real-life incidents revolving around college students. Sajin Gopu, known for his role as Niroop in ‘Romancham’, also plays a pivotal role in Aavesham.
Aavesham also features Mansoor Ali Khan and Ashish Vidyarthi as primary antagonists, along with Chemban Vinod as a key character. Besides the aforementioned, Aavesham stars Malayali gamer and YouTuber Hipzster, Mithun JS, Roshan Shanawas, Pooja Mohanraj, Neeraja Rajendran, Sreejith Nair and Thangam Mohan in key roles.
The movie is produced by Anwar Rasheed, under his banner Anwar Rasheed Entertainments. Aavesham is co-produced by Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya Nazim, under their production banner, Fahadh Faasil and Friends.
