Tamil actress Anjali is going to star in the upcoming Malayalam web series ‘Fall’. The show will stream on Disney+Hotstar this year and the announcement was made by the platform with a poster featuring the lead actress that is Anjali. The cast will include faces like Namita Kriahnamurty, Sonia Aggarwal, Raj Mohan and also Santhosh Pratap who became quite famous with the blockbuster ‘Sarpatta Parambarai’.
Composer Ajesh who has previously given music to films like ‘Sarbath’ and ‘Paambhu Sattai’ will be giving the music to the series, which is going to be another asset for it.
Writer, director and cinematographer Siddharth Ramaswamy is also involved in this project, most probably directing the show after the 2020 short film ‘Pharike’ that told a twisted story of a mother and her son.
The web series will most probably be the remake of the American series with the same name where a detective tries to get her own mind under control while she tries to catch a serial killer by trying to look Inside his mind who is under the mask of a regular family man. There is an abundance of remakes in the Indian film and OTT industry currently but there is clearly a lack of good ones. With Kajol debuting on OTT with the remake of the American show ‘The Good Wife’ and Raveena Tandon coming back with her second web series ‘Revenge’ which too will be a remake, there are too many web series with female leads that are being remade. The quality and acceptance still depends on the creativity and innovativeness of the makers and the demand of the audiences.
Along with this film, Anjali will next be seen in two other films, one of them titled Jhansi and the other tentatively named RC 15. The show will be available in three Indian languages Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. There is no news about the release date as well as about the availability of Hindi audio.
