Fallout’s Future: Aaron Moten Talks Series Endgame

Fallout actor Aaron Moten (Maximus) has revealed how many seasons viewers can expect from the titular Prime Video series. The show is the official TV adaptation of the popular Bethesda game Fallout and stars talents such as Ella Purnell, Moten, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Moises Arias, and more.

Filming for Fallout Season 2 wrapped in early May, although it remains unclear how many episodes the upcoming season will include.

Moten recently discussed the show’s future at this year’s Liverpool Comic Con, where he revealed that Prime Video plans to conclude the series with Season 5 or 6. He said:

“When I signed on to do the series, we would have a starting point, and then they gave me the endpoint. And that endpoint hasn’t changed. But it is season 5, 6 type of endpoint, you know? We’ve always known we’re going to take our time with the development of the characters.”

The idea of giving Fallout at least five seasons is promising, as it allows showrunners Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet to deeply explore various character arcs. Goggins’ portrayal of Cooper Howard, aka the Ghoul, stole the spotlight in Season 1, leaving fans eager to see what the White Lotus actor brings to the second season.

Moten’s comments underscore the vast potential of the Fallout TV series to explore numerous elements of the game franchise in future seasons. Season 1 ended with hints toward storylines from Fallout: New Vegas, largely due to Hank’s character, suggesting a broader narrative expansion in Season 2.

Additionally, the debut season set new trajectories for the central characters – Maximus, Lucy (Purnell), and Cooper (Goggins) – indicating they will face fresh challenges as their stories evolve.
