OTT platform Netflix has been consistently churning out some well-made series like ‘Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities’, ‘The Midnight Club’, and ‘The Sandman’, amongst others. However, one title that is conspicuous by its absence from the list of soon-to-be-released upcoming seasons of Netflix shows, and which fans are desperately waiting for, is none other than the second season of the South Korean apocalyptic monster horror series ‘Sweet Home’.
‘Sweet Home’ Season-1 started streaming on Netflix from December 2020 onwards. So, it’s been almost two years and there’s still no word regarding the official release date for ‘Sweet Home Season-2’. The last update we received earlier this year in June was that the series was greenlit for picked up and third seasons but post that, surprisingly, there hasn’t been any important release update on the ‘Sweet Home’ series.
‘Sweet Home’ Season-1 was praised by critics and audiences alike when it was released around two years back on Netflix. Currently, the show holds 83% critics score and 84% audience score on reviews aggregation portal Rotten Tomatoes. Moreover, the series has secured a decent user rating of 7.3/10 on IMDb. ‘Sweet Home’ series follows the story of a troubled high school student Cha Hyun-soo, who has lost his family in a car accident. Later, he moves into a new apartment and his life takes a U-turn when people begin to transform into deadly monsters and the protagonist must fight against all odds to defend himself from these killer creatures.
