The 2024 Wimbledon is going on. This is without any doubt the biggest event for tennis fans all over the world so a good quality streaming should not be too much to ask for. But audiences are not too happy with Disney+Hotstar’s services this year.
Netizens have complained again and again throughout the whole tournament how the platform has disrupted their viewing experience. Some posts on X are about how the platform is randomly switching broadcasts of the matches in the key moments. This is indeed unfair for the fans of the game who are there to watch this highly important series uninterrupted.
Previously people had complained about Hotstar not streaming the Doubles matches. Many matches of Indian players were not available to watch either. This is heartbreaking to many Indian fans. Disney+Hotstar is only streaming Wimbledon on two streams and this makes the fans miss out on many important matches including the ones with Indian players.
Having two streams at a time has given the audiences a headache. Some have pointed out that SonyLIV provides five or more streams for the Australian Open or the French Open tournaments. Hotstar has to look inside the problems and take care of them if the platform wants to keep its subscribers satisfied.
