Fans Win! Warner Bros Greenlights Re-shoots For Snyders Cut Justice League!!

Warner Bro.s have finally relented to give Zack Snyder a week to do re-shoots for his version of the ‘Justice League’ film, especially after DC fans petitioned for months. Warner Bros. had initially only agreed to allow Zack Snyder to come back and finish his film with the footage he had left, but after seeing the fans clamoring, they have given the green light for it’s execution. They have also provided Snyder with a budget of 70 million dollars for the re-shoots – a generous amount, showing real seriousness in their backing of the acclaimed director.

The re-shoots are set for next month and Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and Ray Fisher have all been asked to return to reprise their respective roles as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Cyborg. Warner Bros. have only provided Snyder a week to complete the re-shoots – which sure, sounds quite less, but in the hands of someone as meticulous as Zack Snyder, he could even use that short period to add new scenes into his film.

Also noticeably not invited are Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa who play Flash and Aquaman respectively. Maybe they have all the footage they need from these two actors already and hopefully that is the case. But the fact that Fisher is returning for the re-shoots is gonna turn many heads, especially after he made allegations of misconduct during the previous filming of Justice League, so much so that Warner Bros. themselves have launched an internal investigation.

This is good news anyway, as most of us figured that, despite all the petitions and letters, Snyder will only get to work with the footage he had previously shot and will not be given any time for re-shoots. But now it looks like he can even introduce new scenes like the Martian Manhunter transformation, which had previously been cut out from the movie script.

Zack Snyder had shot most of the original film ‘Justice League’ but due to the tragic death of his daughter, he decided to step away from filming and spend some time with his family. Warner Bros. then brought on Joss Whedon, who ordered extensive reshoots to create his own vision of the Justice League. And in the end we got a mess of Snyder cut-scenes integrated with some neon-orange footage. Now with Zack Snyder back at the helm, DC fans can rest easy and we will (hopefully) get the DC team-up we deserve.
