The action thriller movie ‘Fast X’ headlined by franchise veteran Vin Diesel was released in theatres earlier this year in May. In spite of receiving mixed feedback from critics and audiences (56% Rotten Tomatoes critics’ score & 5.8/10 IMDb rating), the film still became the fourth highest grossing movie of 2023 and grossed over $710 million at the box office globally. The ‘Fast & Furious’ film series still holds a special place for franchise fans and the impressive 84% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes for ‘Fast X’ is proof of that.
In India, ‘Fast X’ was made available on a rental / pay-per-view basis on Zee5 and Amazon Prime Video rental store a couple of months back. But now, the movie will soon be available to stream rent-free on an OTT platform. American streaming platform Peacock has just announced that ‘Fast X’ would start streaming on its OTT platform from 15th September onwards.
And since a dedicated Peacock hub is available in India on Viacom18’s Jio Cinema OTT platform, ‘Fast X’ should become available to stream in India on the same date, that is, from 15th September itself on Jio Cinema. But as you know, to enjoy premium global content from HBO and Peacock in Jio Cinema, you would have to subscribe for the Jio Cinema Premium service which will set you back by Rs.999/- per year in case you still haven’t.
Coming back to ‘Fast X’, Vin Diesel reprises his role in the film as the daredevil street racer and former criminal Dominic Toretto, who must now deal with the most dangerous adversary he has ever faced. And the new enemy (Jason Momoa) is hellbent on exacting revenge from Dom and his loved ones for the death of his father.
