Charming Pakistani star Fawad Khan is set to star alongside Vaani Kapoor (‘War’, ‘Befikre’) in a romantic comedy Hindi film coming from the producer of films like ‘Queen’, ‘Udta Punjab’ and ‘Super 30’.
According to reports, the untitled rom-com will tell the story of how two broken people come together by a stroke of luck and end up helping each other and ultimately falling in love.
The film will be shot entirely in UK in fall. While exact locations are not revealed, it is expected that the filming will take place in London.
This is exciting news for Fawad Khan fans in India who have been eagerly waiting to see him in a Hindi film. He was last seen in Hindi films in 2016 in ‘Kapoor & Sons’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. He was also part of Marvel’s ‘Ms. Marvel’ TV series that premiered on Disney+ Hotstar. Moreover, he will be seen in Zee5’s ‘Barzakh’ later this month.
Aarti Bagdi is set to direct the yet to be titled film. Bagdi is known for her works like her debut feature film ‘Chalti Rahe Zindagi’, and anthology of short films ‘Shuruat Ka Interval’, that was mentored and curated by Imtiaz Ali, Vikas Bahl, Vikramaditya Motwane and Anand Gandhi. She has also directed short films like ‘Flight of Freedom’, ‘Khamkha’ and ‘Final Interval’. Among TV series, she has helmed shows like ‘Bebakee’ and ‘Zindagi Ki Crossroads’.
The Hindi language film is produced by Eastwood Studios founded by former Reliance and Phantom executives Vivek B Agrawal and Devang Dholakia. It will be their first international collaboration.
