Fawad Khan’s new series titled ‘Barzakh’ will be available to watch in India Soon. The actor might not be able to make a comeback in the Hindi film industry but Indian fans are not willing to let go of the star so easily. To the excitement of fans, it was announced that he will be starring in an Indian series. It is after eight years that the actor is working in an Indian project. Fawad Khan is still popular in India and his upcoming show has a huge audience already waiting. ‘Barzakh’ will premiere on Zee5 on the 19th of July this year.
The show is directed by Asim Abbasi, who has previously directed projects like ‘Cake’ and ‘Churails’. ‘Barzakh’ is a story of magical realism, and Abbasi says that somewhere behind the show, there is the inspiration from Gabriel Garcia Marquez that is working. The show tells the story of a 76 year old man who brings his estranged family, that is children and grandchildren, to his house to join him in his marriage. His marriage is not a regular one, but with the ghost of his first love. It is surely an experimental story and there is much risk in creating a show. The makers Asim Abbasi and Shailja Kejriwal are hopeful about the show and are happy that Indian fans will be able to watch Fawad Khan in a new project again.
Barzakh premieres on Zee5 on the 19th of July.
