FIFA Finals; Jio Cinema Teaches How To “NOT” Stream Sports!

The FIFA World Cup is now over and it’s a Messy fever all around the globe. Social media seems to be painted in white and blue for the same reason.

But while the Football fans were enjoying the match, a lot of Indians took it to complain against the problematic streaming of the game on Jio Cinema. If you are a Football fan then you must be aware that Jio Cinema grabbed the digital streaming rights of the tournament.

It was initially announced to be on Voot Select and a lot of people purchased the subscription after the promise. Later they realized that it would stream free on Jio Cinema. If it was not bad enough, Jio Cinema failed to do justice to the match.

Although the condition was a lot better than it was in the initial days of the match, it was still troubling a lot. Buffering and regular crashing were a big reason behind the bad experience which the fans definitely didn’t deserve.

It was the FIFA Finals and the platform must have expected a huge crowd on their server. It is ridiculous that they didn’t seem to be ready for the same.

Even when the app was not crashing or buffering, the jitters didn’t let alone the viewing experience of the fans.

A massive complaint came from the fact that it didn’t telecast the closing ceremony of the match.

Thus Jio Cinema has shown Indian streamers the way NOT to stream live sports and we hope other platforms take a lesson.
