Writer and director Tyler Perry has signed a first look deal with Netflix. This partnership will allow him to write, direct and produce feature films for multiple years.
Tyler Perry is known for shows like ‘All the Queen’s Men’, ‘Love Thy Neighbor’, ‘If Loving You Is Wrong’ and movies like ‘Boo! A Madea Halloween’, ‘A Madea Homecoming’ and ‘A Fall from Grace’.
Tyler’s pact with Netflix will involve eight films over four years. The filmmaker has made a name with filmsade for OTT platforms. He has also earned quite a fan base all over the world with his huge range of stories. Tyler is also an actor and playwright.
Fall From Grace, A Madea Homecoming, A Jazzman’s Blues, Mea Culpa and the upcoming Six Triple Eight, these are the five titles that Tyler Perry has already directed for the platform.
This new deal is a win-win for all. Netflix will get new stories and the subscribers will be quite satisfied with eight films of different genres. The upcoming ‘Six Triple Eight’ will be coming to Netflix soon enough; and it will tell the story of the 6888th Postal Directory Battalion, the all black and all female battalion of World War 2. Fans eagerly wait for ‘688’ and all upcoming films of the director.
