Amazon has finally launched the Preview feature better known as ‘Amazon Preview’ in India. The feature works for Amazon Prime viewers and enables them to see what are the upcoming releases on Prime Video. The selected viewers will be getting the luxury of viewing the upcoming content scheduled for months later in advance.
To make it more interactive, Amazon Preview also has the option of feedback, where the viewers can comment and share their thoughts of the trailer, series, movies etc.
Notably this feature has been there for quite some time in US and other countries and has received warm responses since it’s inception. With audience getting notified about their upcoming content in much advance. The selected users get notified via email which asks them to view and give their valuable feedback.
Hence, for example, these selected ones get an email which has a link attached to it and Amazon sends around 4 episodes of a series. The user has to complete the given content and fill out a survey form with the questions related to the series. Reportedly Amazon does it to get valuable feedback from these viewers on how well they were able to connect with the series.
Users usually have to sign an NDA form so as to not disclose anything about this to other person. If a user fails to complete the survey or watch the preview, he/she is dropped from the preview service.
It is still not clear how the special viewers are selected, but there have been news regarding the selection, and how Amazon chooses it’s trusted and regular customers.
After the surveys are finished users get paid in the form of Amazon cashback or something related.
The feature is yet to be visible on the official site of Amazon India or Prime Video. It will be rolling out in the coming weeks.
