Finally An Update On Harry Potter Series From WB

It’s time for Potterheads to come out. Because finally there is a solid update to the much-awaited Harry Potter series. Warner Bros. Discovery has just announced that the Harry Potter series is set to premiere in 2026.

But, but, but, there is a twist. They are targeting the 2026 release, but it may not be released in that year. Let’s assume that something like the SAG AFTRA strike arrives, then it would naturally hamper the production.

The big reveal came from David Zaslav, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, during a special talk about the company’s earnings. He talked about how it’s been more than twelve years since the last Harry Potter movie, and fans have been eagerly waiting for more adventures.

Even cooler, Zaslav recently met with J.K. Rowling, the creator of Harry Potter, and her team in London. They’re all super excited to bring the magic back to life and share new stories with fans through Max. Interestingly, the series will be closer to the source book than the films ever were.

The idea for this TV series started back in 2021, and Warner Bros. Discovery officially gave it the green light last year. The plan is to make seasons based on each of the Harry Potter books, stretching out over the next ten years. That means we’ll get to see all our favourite characters and stories in a whole new way!

As the series gets closer to its premiere in 2026 or 2027 max, fans can expect to hear more updates. Stay tuned to Binged for that.
