Kantara was a mammoth blockbuster of 2022. Actually two movies from Karnataka came out to be a part of national headlines. One was of course KGF Chapter 2 and the sleeper blockbuster Kantara: The Legend.
If you see then Kannada cinema has not achieved a success like that since 2022 but next year it can be even bigger. We are talking about the next part of Kantara: The Legend.
The movie will actually be a prequel to Kantara: The Legend and will trace the origin story. The movie was planned and announced a few months after the successful release of Kantara: The Legend.
Well, the makers have launched a poster of the film and the release date is also out now. The movie stars Rishab Shetty and Jayaram in the lead roles.
Even Jisshu Sengupta will be playing an important role. The first look teaser was launched last year in November and now we have the release date.
So, Kantara Chapter 1 will be released on the big screens on the 2nd of October 2025.
The movie will be released in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Bangla and English. Let’s see what kind of magic it creates as the expectations are very high from the movie.
