Netflix has finally set a release date for its highly awaited live action series ‘Wednesday’. And that’s not it, there’s a spooky new poster there too. Tim Burton’s ‘Wednesday’ will premiere on 23rd November, 2022.
The latest poster launched for ‘Wednesday’ features Jenna Ortega holding an umbrella in her midnight-manicured hands with heavy rain pouring in the background of an ominous looking sky.
In this latest ‘Wednesday’ series Wednesday Addams is expelled from her provincial public high school for an incident involving a group of bullies, a swimming pool and a bag of ravenous piranhas. She then finds herself sent away to Nevermore Academy — the mysterious magical boarding school where her parents first met.
There, Wednesday learns a lot more than what can be found in any textbook as a string of brutal murders lures her into a mystery that will test her typically ice-cold level of detachment.
‘Wednesday’ is showrun by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (‘Smallville’) with Tim Burton (‘Beetlejuice’, ‘Ed Wood’) directing several episodes. The series stars Jenna Ortega, Gwendoline Christie, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Emma Myers and Hunter Doohan.
‘Wednesday’ will premiere globally exclusively on Netflix on 23rd November, 2022.
