Finally! ‘PS-2’ Hindi Release Date Out On Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video has finally unveiled the release date of the Hindi version of Mani Ratnam’s epic saga ‘Ponniyin Selvan – 2’. After much wait Hindi speaking viewers will now be able to watch this historical drama on their screens.

Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam versions of ‘PS – 2’ were first made available on rent from 26th May and then rent free for subscribers from 2nd June on Amazon Prime Video. Moreover, the Hindi version was also available on rent from 9th June and now the subscribers won’t have to pay any fee for the same from 23rd June.

But like every other time all this has left the Hindi speaking Prime Video subscribers utterly disappointed and a little agitated. Though this isn’t something that’s rooted in biasness towards a set of audience or something but is the sheer policy for Hindi streaming rights of almost every film.

If it’s a Hindi language film it does not bother the audience much but when it comes to such popular pan Indian films this policy does not come any less than a nuisance. When and how such a policy change might or might not happen is a discretion of the OTT platforms, but it would surely be a step in the right direction.
