First Look: Henry Cavill and Dua Lipa in Apple TV+’s ‘Argylle’

New details of Apple Original Movies in 2022 announced

Apple TV+ revealed the first look of the highly anticipated Apple Original movie ‘Argylle’. The image from the movie features Henry Cavill and Dua Lipa. Henry Cavill, who is popularly known for his role as Superman, recently was seen in the second season of Witcher on Netflix. This is the acting debut of three-time Grammy winner Dua Lipa.

The photo – revealed as part of a larger update related to Apple Original movies to be released in 2022 – shows Dua Lipa and Henry Cavill embracing each other possibly for a dance. Check out the post from Apple TV+ featuring the photo below:


Argylle is an upcoming spy movie directed and produced by Matthew Vaughn. It is based on a to-be-released novel of the same name by first time author Ellie Conway. It features an ensemble cast that includes Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Dua Lipa and Ariana DeBose with John Cena and Samuel L. Jackson. Dua Lipa is also expected to provide original music for the title track and score.

A 7-second teaser leaked video has also surfaced online. It features the image which was released as part of the first look. It also shows Ariana DeBose’s character. The video is available on YouTube:

Apart from this, Apple further unveiled additional details regarding its upcoming movies.

“Cha Cha Real Smooth,” winner of the 2022 Sundance Film Festival U.S. Dramatic Audience Award, will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on June 17.

“Luck,” a new animated feature from Skydance Animation about the unluckiest girl in the world, starring Jane Fonda, Whoopi Goldberg, Eva Noblezada, Simon Pegg, Flula Borg, Lil Rel Howery, Colin O’Donoghue, John Ratzenberger and Adelynn Spoon, will premiere on August 5.

Apart from the release date for these movies, Apple announced development updates on a host of its upcoming projects (some of which were announced earlier as well). This announcement comes as ‘CODA’, an Apple Original, landed the top honour at the SAG awards with the movie nominated at the Oscars as well. The line-up of movies in 2022 and the first look seem exciting.
