Netflix has officially announced the date when the fourth season of The Crown will arrive. The historical drama show has been the fan favorite since it’s debut in 2016. The announcement was made by official twitter handles of The Crown and Netflix.
Along with the release date which has been set for November 15th 2020, Four new stills from the show were also released by the makers. These stills include the characters of Queen Elizabeth, Prince Phillip, Prince Charles, Margaret Thatcher and Princess Diana.
For those who are not familiar with The Crown, it is a historical drama show which follows the life story of Queen Elizabeth since her marriage to the present day with all the events occured in her life during this time period showcased. The show also maintains the parallels between the personal and professional life of Queen Elizabeth as how she managed between the two.
Fourth season will be focusing on several stories at once. Set in 1970s, Queen Elizabeth and her family will be in the quest of finding a successor to the British Throne, While Prince Charles is the best choice for it but being unmarried at the age of 30, serves as the obstacle for the royal family. Hence Queen Elizabeth will be seen looking for an appropriate bride for Prince Charles.
While tension will also arise between The Queen and the first female Prime Minister of Britain, Margaret Thatcher, who with her divisive policies already has created a bad image in front of the people. To add to this she also made the country to go into Falklands War, which created conflicts among Commonwealth.
The season will also focus on the blooming romance between Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer.
The show’s fourth season has an impressive starcast including :-
Olivia Coleman, Tobias Menzies, Helena Bonham Carter, Erin Doherty, Josh O’Connor, Gillian Anderson, Emma Corrin, Emerald Fennell, and Marion Bailey.
