Netflix has revealed the first look of its upcoming superhero film ‘We Can Be Heroes‘ from Robert Rodriguez (‘Spy Kids’, ‘El Mariachi’). ‘We Can Be Heroes’ will be the stand-alone sequel to Rodriguez’s ‘The Adventures of Sharkboy’ and ‘Lavagirl in 3-D’. The film will premiere on Netflix globally on 1st January 2021.
‘We Can Be Heroes’ chronicles the story of eleven kids who are children of Earth’s superheroes. While still learning and discovering the full potential of their superpowers, these children try to save their parents and the world, after their parents get kidnapped by alien invaders. These superhero parents are part of a team called ‘Heroics’, whose director’s role will be played by Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
The stellar star cast for Netflix’s ‘We Can Be Heroes’ includes Priyanka Chopra Jonas, YaYa Gosselin, Pedro Pascal, Christian Slater, Sung Kang, Boyd Holbrook, Taylor Dooley, Haley Reinhart, Andy Walken, and Akira Akbar.
Apart from directing, Rodriguez has also written the screenplay and produced ‘We Can Be Heroes’ via his Troublemaker Studios for Netflix.
‘We Can Be Heroes’ is all set to launch worldwide only on Netflix on 1st January 2021.
