Sony dropped the first footage of its upcoming R-rated Spider-Man Universe project, Kraven the Hunter, at CinemaCon in April. The teaser’s description revealed that Aaron Taylor-Johnson wore a modified version of Kraven’s iconic “lion fur” costume in the film. However, a leaked first look at the actor’s Kraven suit has gone viral, and fans have already started to lose their minds. Prepare to get disappointed, folks!
In the leaked image, Aaron can be seen wearing a brown leather vest instead of Kraven’s lion fur costume. The actor has disclosed his take on the supervillain as a conservationist, an “animal lover”. So, it is understandable why the makers chose a leathered costume for him.
However, fans are not happy with the new Kraven costume at all. Some have even declared the latest suit a “f*cked up” version of the supervillain’s vintage comic costume. Check out the costume below!
SPOILER WARNING
The CinemaCon’s teaser showed Kraven confronting a group of poachers, whom he effortlessly and violently defeats. Additionally, the clip briefly showed Russell Crowe as the father of Sergei Kravinoff. Also, a new version of one of the most popular Spider-Man antagonists, Rhino, was revealed in the clip. The Many Saints of Newark fame, Alessandro Nivola, plays Rhino in the film.
Helmed by J. C. Chandor (Triple Frontier), Kraven the Hunter stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ariana DeBose, Russell Crowe, Fred Hechinger, and Alessandro Nivola. It is scheduled to be released worldwide on October 6. Stay tuned for more updates.
