Come on Barbie, let’s go party! Well well well! Warner Bros. Pictures just dropped the first look of Margot Robbie from the upcoming flick “Barbie,” slated to release on July 21, 2023. The first look from the movie finally gave the audiences a true picture of Barbie, with Margot sitting casually in a pink convertible, sporting a happy grin on the face.
Directed by Greta Gerwig, “Barbie” is a fantasy-drama story, based on the adventures of Barbie and Ken, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, Will Ferrell.
Set against a fuscia and hot pink backdrop, Margot Robbie is dressed up in a white and blue striped outfit with a matching polka dot headband and bracelet. The most striking thing was her voluminous blond hair which she sported on in the most classic way. The background looked like a Barbie house and uncanny resemblance to Barbie just proved that she is meant for that role.
The plot is based on a doll staying in her own ‘Barbieland,’ is expelled for not being flawless, and thereafter she sets off an adventure in the real world. Gerwig and Noah Baumbach penned the screenplay, and Margot Robbie is also producing the movie alongwith the rest of the producers.
Margot, Ryan and Greta, all have been the nominees for the academy awards. With such award-winning talent behind and in front of the camera, “Barbie” is expected to be a smash at the theatres. As the first look has been released, we are anticipating to get more glimpses of the fashionable world.
