Hombale films has revealed the first look poster for KGF Chapter 2 featuring Sanjay Dutt. The poster was revealed to mark the occasion of the actor’s 61st birthday.
The poster tweeted out this morning, reveals the “Munna Bhai” actor to be playing ‘Adheera’. It features the actor in a new, very different, hauntingly brutal look. Gone is his usual crop cut and it has been replaced with Viking inspired braids pulled back into a long ponytail, clean shaven back and sides, a white short boxed beard and a thick handlebar mustache. If you think that sounds sick, wait, there’s more.
Tattoos cover a good portion of his head, with (again) Viking inspiration coming into play here, covering his unshaven sides and back. Sanskrit words have also been tattooed along the side of his face, which roughly translates to “The battle will lead a result” in English. The concept for the poster is built to be edgy and we at binged.com are loving it.
Sanjay Dutt’s bear-like physique and a mean resting face makes him the perfect choice to play the main villain in KGF Chapter 2. In the first chapter, director Prashanth Neel kept ‘Adheera’ a mystery, only dropping hints regarding his greed for power and violence. Even though ‘Adheera’ is featured as a cruel leader, he comes across as a loyal brother and a man who keeps his words. This complex villain is gonna be perfect for Dutt with his varied acting chops.
All of this has only added to the hype and increased audience anticipation for the sequel of Kannada’s highest grossing film ever. But due to the Coivd-19 lockdown, the production of the movie has stopped. The original release date set for the movie October 23rd, 2020 has remained unchanged for now but it will change if the cases coming has not reduced by then, which seems likely at this point.
But thankfully most of the shooting is said to be done, according to the media. Now we cant wait for the first trailer for KGF Chapter 2 featuring ‘Adheera’s and ‘Rocky’s standoff to drop. Fingers crossed that it will drop soon.
